Training description

This training, designed for 5 days, allows students to get all the necessary skills for working with IPv6 networks. During the lectures students will analyze the IPv6 address space, differences in the packet structure compared to IPv4, protocol features, built-in mechanisms and services. In addition, attenders will become familiar with the migration process from IPv4 to IPv6 in the enterprise network, the main settings for all routing protocols, and basics steps for building scalable and secure design. Instructor will answer on the following questions: how can technical specialists configure QoS or multicast on IPv6 networks and how they can plan and implement IPv6 on Service Provider networks that using MPLS technologies.

During the laboratory works students will work out the skills of IPv6 configuration on Cisco network devices with IOS.

Intended Audience

This training will be useful for network engineers, network administrators, architects, designers, technical support engineers, and any specialists who work or will work with IPv6 networks and services.

Expected students’ skills and knowledge

It is highly recommended that students have a basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP, UDP, IPv4, ICMP), routing protocols (OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, BGP, IS-IS) and basic network services (DHCP, DNS).
