Training description

This training, designed for 5 days, allows students to increase their knowledge and skills of working with the Cisco Unified Communications (UC) solution. The following topics will be discussed during the training: routing audio and video calls inside the office and beyond it, working with MGCP and H.323 voice gateways, working with SIP trunks, setting up video conferencing, introducing QoS mechanisms. In addition, students will learn about the capabilities of the Cisco Unified Border Element and the optional Annunciators and MOH services.
The training also provides 12 laboratory works, during which students will improve their skills with Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and will gain the skills to configure MGCP and H.323 gateways.

Intended Audience

This training will be most useful for network engineers, network administrators, system integrator engineers, technical specialists who implement, support and administer the Cisco Unified Communications solution. In addition, the course will be useful for technical specialists interested in obtaining the status of Cisco Certified Network Professional Collaboration (CCNP)

Expected students’ skills and knowledge

For understanding the materials of this training students will need knowledge of PSTN and VoIP technologies, experience with Cisco voice gateways and experience with the interfaces of the Cisco Unified Communications Manager. In addition, experience equal to taking the course «Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices. Part 1 (ICND1)», «Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices. Part 2 (ICND2)» and «Implementing Cisco Collaboration Devices (CICD)» is required.
