Training description

This training is an accelerated version (5 days) of two trainings: «Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices. Part 1 (v.3.0) (ICND1)» and «Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices. Part 2 (v.3.0) (ICND2)», CCNAXeach of this trainings is designed for 5 days. For understanding the materials of this training students will need have a basic knowledge of operation IPv4 networks. The experience with the command line interface is mandatory. During the training, students will gain knowledge about the design and implementation of IPv4 / IPv6 networks, the operation of L2 switches and routers, IP addressing, the possibilities of static and dynamic routing, segmentation in medium-sized networks and additional services (DHCP, VLAN , trunk, ARP, DNS), features of IPv6 network services, quality of service mechanisms or QoS. In addition, security mechanisms for network devices running Cisco IOS, device management mechanisms on the network, overview of cloud technologies, basic principles of virtualization, basic principles of building software-defined networks (SDN) will be discussed.
The training also provides 15 laboratory works, during which students will improve their skills to configure and administer network devices running Cisco IOS.

Intended Audience

This training will be most useful for system administrators and system engineers, maintenance engineers, technical support engineers, and technical specialists interested in passing the Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA R&S) exam.

Expected students’ skills and knowledge

For understanding the materials of this training students will need have basic skills to working with PC operating systems and a basic knowledge of operation IPv4 networks. The experience with the command line interface is mandatory. Knowledge of IP addressing will be useful, but is not a prerequisite for completing this training.
